Making a Case for Support

Mar 6, 07:57 AM

IMHO the key to successful fundraising is effective communication. Much time can be spent on identifying potential supporters but if the communications are wrong then worthy approaches could prove unsuccessful.

Today I wanted to share the key to making an effective proposal that sells your project or organisation, a Case for Support. There are a few variations on this model and many adapt it to suit their own preferred style. I also try to come up with a compact version which I call my '30 second lift pitch', something which I will cover soon in my blog.

At this point I could rabbit on about how we prepare a Case for Support but not wanting to reinvent the wheel I have found an excellent guide from NCVO, which I feel captures the key concepts very well indeed.
